Chubb created its NewsMedia^SM Liability Insurance policy to address the specific needs of news organizations--companies in the business of disseminating news content to the public. These would include newspaper publishers, radio and television broadcasters, and magazine publishers focusing on news-oriented topics.

Chubb's NewsMedia Liability Insurance policy offers all of the coverages of our Multimedia Liability Insurance policy, as well as the following additional features:

• Subpoena protection, providing coverage for the costs of contesting subpoenas seeking a reporter's notes or other unpublished information.
• Assistance in protecting confidential sources, providing coverage for contesting efforts to compel release of confidential sources or information.
• No fraud or dishonesty exclusion for newsgathering activities alleged to be "deceptive."
